Information meeting Response

Hey guys,

Today is Saturday May 24th Singapore time, and I Just wanted to give you a report of week one of our trip. There have been some very encouraging things, and yet some very dissapointing things as well. We could not be more pleased with the cooperation from the church members and the hosts. The first day we arrived, we met with 15 churchmembers. What a huge blessing to know that they will be actively involved in the parties, and other Evangelistic opportunities with the Readers.

We held two information meetings, one on Thursday, and on Friday. All in all we had 17 Readers sign up (several of which are returning Readers, that have still not made a decision to come to Christ). Today we are calling all the other potential Readers who didn't come to the meeting to sign them up for a Reading session.

We have 4 Reading Sessions today. Most, if not all, are Chinese students with a Buddhist background. One returning Reader, Douglas, seemed to remember the life, crucifixion, and resurection of Jesus from his previous studies with LST. Though he seems to know the story well, he still claims to be a Buddhist. We are excited because Douglass has signed up for more Reading sessions.

We ask that you pray that the people who've shown interest in LST, will respond to our calls to come read with us, that the Readers like Douglas would see the love of Christ in our team, and in the story of the Gospel.
